Shortly before 3:30 a.m. on June 25, officials say that a 1.8 magnitude earthquake with an epicenter of Spencerville in Montgomery County hit the area, which could be felt all the way into Delaware and Howard County.

Tuesday's incident fell into the category of a "micro earthquake" which was felt by more than two dozen people, according to the USGS.

There have been several similar incidents in the DMV region this year. No damage has been reported following the latest earthquake.
